Sculpted solid brass in a “smoke” acid patinated finish, machined and mechanically fastened with heavy structural brass recessed hex head fasteners. Goatskin parchment shade with accordion-folded ends hand stitched in alternating directions at the front and the back. Hand-dyed braided cotton cord. Goatskin parchment is a excellent diffuser of light and is naturally figured and textured, similar to the surface of the moon.
