Woven on hand looms in India using 100% silk, Silk in Ripple produces an intricate stripe weave due to the alternating of fine silk threads with heavier, thicker silk slub yarns to create an intricate ribbed stripe running width ways. The result is lightweight, full of character, and understated elegance. Slubs, mixed coloured threads and the human touch are expressed throughout the weave similar to the look of a tweed, beautifully reflecting the local village communities being supported through their craft.
