A Bit of Pixie Dust: Collection Particuliere at Milan Design Week

Pixie Dust by Collection Particuliere

Collection Particulière returned to Milan Design Week 2025 with VELOURIA, the title taken from American rock band, Pixies (Bossanova, 1990).
No point in looking for it in the dictionary, it isn’t there.

VELOURIA is a resonance, an intuition, a touch. Or perhaps it’s a name? Imagine her, an erudite, demanding, passionate woman. A collector of emotions, desires, textures. She enthuses about the shade of a wood, the way a fabric falls, the subtility of a patina. She loves stories, those told to her and those she invents. She likes hot and cold, velvet, of course, but also mahogany, walnut, ceramics and bronze. Her tastes are constantly developing.

You won’t meet VELOURIA, but you’ll feel her presence everywhere – in the way the space is organized, in the way the pieces of furniture are presented and dialogue with each other. And sometimes in the way they oppose each other.
